Official MRI information
Research with clear limits

Evidence behind
the approach.

Understand the scan.
Explore your options.
Talk with your team.

Ready for MRI is being developed to combine practical information, optional self-support exercises, and planning. Research on related approaches is not proof that this program will work for a particular person.

This page distinguishes medical information, related research, and the claims we can make about Ready for MRI. No clinical trial of this English program is claimed.

01 / How to read the claims

Four distinctions
that matter.

Medical facts, research on an approach, a personal preference, and a clinical decision are different kinds of information.

Medical information
Know

What your examination involves

Official MRI information can help you prepare questions. Your own center provides the instructions for your scan.

General information is not a decision about your personal MRI safety.

Related research
Read

A study is about its own protocol

An observational study by Napp and colleagues examined an audio self-hypnosis protocol before MRI in people at high risk of claustrophobia.

It was not a randomized trial of Ready for MRI; its findings do not validate any English recording in this program.

Personal choice
Try

An option, not a requirement

The planned program will let you explore written techniques, optional rehearsal, and a Main/Backup plan. You can skip or stop an exercise.

The availability of a technique does not mean it will help everyone.

Clinical decisions
Ask

Keep the team in the plan

Talk to your MRI team about significant anxiety, support, the scanner, and any medical options.

The program does not diagnose, prescribe, or decide which examination is right for you.

02 / What we do not claim

No borrowed success rate.

Results from a study of a particular intervention cannot be presented as the expected outcome of this program.

Ready for MRI is not presented as a treatment for claustrophobia, a replacement for medical support, or a guarantee that you’ll complete a scan. English audio is in production and has not been offered here as a proven clinical intervention.

No hospitals, researchers, NHS, ACR, or RSNA are presented as endorsing this product. No testimonials, clinical recommendations, or program success statistics have been invented.

03 / Direct sources

Check the information.

Read the original medical information, then ask your team how it applies to your examination.

04 / Further reading

Related research,
in its own context.

Related publications examine different preparation methods and settings. Read each paper in its own context; a citation is not a promise of an outcome.

These papers concern particular methods and populations. They do not establish the clinical effectiveness of Ready for MRI.
